Elemental grid tales of symphonia
That'd be the right of the screen in this case. Set your AI melee characters to "Attack At Once" or "Attack Freely" (most melee characters are alright with Attack Freely, however two of them try and cast spells all the time when I wanted them slashing with swords, so experiment) and move them to the far front of the combat grid (Frontlines, I think it's called). If you're controlling a magician character, you may want to bind some of your own spells here so you have ready access to a larger variety without pause->menu->cast. Bind a healing and an offensive spell here that you'll be using say if Fire is the elemental weakness of your current dungeon, use a Fire spell.
You can basically get 2 spells or techs (it's a waste on techs heh) on demand quickly from teammates here. I'm going to assume you'll be controlling Lloyd, Kratos, or some similar direct damage dealing character:įirst, the C-Stick. Should I be on 'full manual' control as opposed to semi-auto? Not mine, I stuck with Lloyd and only gave orders to the others. Should I be swapping between them during combat? But don't neglect your own guy! Remember, it's the first / top guy that you control - you don't need to control the swordsman when you have other party members. The rest of the time I let them attack on their own, doing items or specific commands when possible. I tend to mash the command button to direct healing or specific attacks. How closely should I be watching other team members? For me, it wasn't until I beat it the first time that I really had a grasp on things - SIXTY hours in! The second time around is going much smoother.
#ELEMENTAL GRID TALES OF SYMPHONIA HOW TO#
It'll take practice to learn how to use them most effectively. You can edit those before battle and also during battle with the menu screen. Your buddies are almost completely autonomous - but you can issue commands in battle to them with the C stick and D-pad.
